French Bulldog Art Auction

The French Bulldog Club of America is holding its annual National Specialty show in Atlanta, Georgia this year and on September 29th, there will be an Art Auction to benefit the French Bulldog Donor Advised Fund of the Canine Health Foundation. I have just sent them my French Bulldog Bride and Groom prints and my French Bulldog Vermeer was in last year's auction. I just LOVE Frenchies! If you are interested in attending or if you are an artist interested in donating work, please check out their website. There's tons of events during the week-long show all devoted to Frenchies!

Retired from Racing, Not from Life Art Book Project

Greyhounds are such beautiful and graceful dogs and it's a shame what happens to them after their racing life is over.  Greyhound Health & Wellness Program (GHWP) is a group which provides study and healthcare for retired greyhounds. True North Greyhounds, a Canadian non-profit organization, is creating an art book to benefit GHWP.

The Retired from Racing, Not from Life Art Book is an art book project in which 100% of the profits will go directly from the publisher to GHWP. It is free for artists to participate and every artist will have a full page in the book dedicated to their art. The deadline to participate is June 30th.

For more information, please go to the Retired from Racing, Not from Life website.

Back to Classic

I went back to painting classic portraits, inspired by an English 18th century riding coat in the Metropolitan Museum. I chose to paint a Shiba Inu in the outfit because the color of a Shiba just fit the outfit so well. The painting is available as a print, wood block, or magnet.
